Phoenix Splash is underrated imo. It's technically beautiful and has impact that SSP can't match no matter the user. PS should be insta death like how Neville was using the Black Arrow in his King of CW run.

RIP Hayabusa

Better wrestlers have done the SSP, but the Phoenix Splash is the better move

The last gif posted in the OP is the very reason I could never vote for the Shooting Star Press. fukking Kidman. :hhh:

:russ:

Didn’t he hurt Paul London with an SSP too?

:edit:

Just to note: PAC's Black/Red Arrow could be considered a SSP, just with a corkscrew. In which case I'd say that's the best looking aerial move in wrestling... however, one great executor can't counterbalance the fact that a phoenix splash is just different. And more than one person can do it really well.

The move itself is probably the ceiling of acrobatic moves without going full anime bullshyt. Like... that shyt's a thin line, but the phoenix splash like, is that line, tho.

Just seems like, contextually, such a funny move, too. You tryna style on your opponent that hard, my nikka, damn! :picard: you ain't even gotta do all that... :whoa: But we glad you did :ehh:

Phoenix Splash just cause I’ve seen it less and it looks cooler and more difficult to do. I love the SSP, but I’ve been seeing it forever and the botches are clear in my head
