Someone in the quotes has pointed out that so far this season, teams have made 27 out of 30 shots at the rim when KAT is defending. Point blank the man can't play center, there's a reason why Minny traded for Gobert a few seasons ago. Towns is legitimately one of the worst rim protectors in the league, and it's been noticeable all season. Towns lack of rim protection is why we got into a big hole early last night. We won't have to worry about it so much once Mitch is back thankfully, but it's gonna be painful watching Towns try to defend until then.

Precious will help, but yeah we need Mitch and keep in mind KAT can play center for a decent amount of minutes for the 5-out offense, but Mitch needs to get a decent amount too in order to get stops or when we play teams that have skilled Centers or can go double big front court.

I’ve said this before but the Knicks need to look at Towns like he is Pau Gasol and pair him with a big like Bynum aka Mitch.

The solution to that is not to create a huge dip offensively by swapping Randle/DDV (and with picks?? wtf? lol) for a non-scorer instead.

KAT wasn't brought here to a be a full-time 5/rim protector. Mitch/Precious are en route, relax.

The move is still for Kat to play at least 12 minutes a game at the 4 but unfortunately they don't have anyone giving him relief from the center position until January. End of the day,it's about about a bucket. Jokic won a chip with zero rim protection. Bigger issue is Brunson and Kat aren't in sync on offense
