:sas1:

"this is a second hand report..we have somebody who's identity is being shielded, describing what the CIA is supposedly concluding"

"Nobody is denying Russia might have done this, but all you do is ask for evidence and that alone subjects you to accusations that you are a tool of the Kremlin"

"To sit here and suggest that Putin lurks behind every american problem and these wild elaborate conspiracy theories - I think its incredibly dangerous and could put us on the path with unintentional confrontation with a country that can do a lot of damage"

:sas2:

Basically Glenn is saying don't be lead by propaganda, demand evidence before jumping to assumptions.
Sounds wise, i'm sure people who need this to be russia will ignore it.

emotions are running too high among the "common folk" and the people who should know better are terrified their gravy train is coming to an end

i get all of that. however like he said, running around accusing a world power of essentially an act of war, is very dangerous.

what's stopping Russia from telling the U.S. to prove that they did this hack or they will retaliate with force?

:yeshrug: I understand what Greenwald is saying and he is right to a degree.

But considering some back channel info I know, its pretty apparent among people in the know that Russia was responsible for the email hack

Glenn doesn't know anything. Without Snowden his career would've died years ago. We have actual reports from companies who investigate cyber crimes independently of the government and have all reached the same conclusion him that this is a part of a long running series of Russian cyber attacks consistent with what we have seen in Europe

So where are the arrests? Where are the raids on these hackers headquarters? Our intelligence agencies just watched Trump officially become president yesterday.

Neither of you find that bizarre?

(:whoa:And may I make a request: please no articles or YouTube videos, I'm curious as to what YOU, have to say to those questions I posed, use your own opinions and thoughts please)

How the fukk are you going to arrest hackers who are sponsored by the Russian government and are based in downtown Moscow?

Go to Russia and ask for hackers brehs :dead:

We can't even get Snowden back and you think Russia would just hand over their cyber guys because the US said so?????????

:what: You do realize that we're talking about an act of war right? You're literally comparing espionage (Snowden) to an act of all out war.

My point is that we haven't even arrested anyone, that should be the least we can do seeing how we "know" who did it right?

I thought this was higher learning, not the "we just shootin' the shyt down by the liquor store" forum :coffee:

1. Arrests could be made, if investigations weren't on-going OR on-going surveillance has to be continued so as to not interrupt other missions. You know drug cartels aren't broken up instantly. The feds follow organizations and plots for a long time.

2. hacking investigtations are no different from other ones. You know this.

You're just trying to find reasons to justify why XYZ hasn't happened yet.

We're in a new era of warfare and espionage.

You need to expand the range of your possibilities and talking points.

And I am asking you. WHO ARE YOU GOING TO ARREST??????

These are people who work in non-discript buildings under 24/7 protection of the FSB. I highly doubt US intel has pictures of the specific individuals on these Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear teams.

:mindblown: People are just mind boggling lacking in critical thinking skills

What the Russians did was nothing new and is in fact in the American playbook. Its not WW3

You wont be able to arrest these guys because Russia wont hand them over.
