Summary:
The-Coli posters can compete in a weekly freestyle event. The winner of the event is "The Coli King". Current "kings" do not have to go through the tourney, battling only the challenger. Challengers go through a tournament consisting of two 1 minute freestyle rounds, with a third being used only in the case of a tie.

THE COLI KING
The Coli King has privileges, including:
- 100k + rep
- Immunity from neg rep (Don't throw rocks at the throne)
- Crown next to handle name to visually signify who is the king
- Double points on +/- reps given
- The King has a reign of exactly 1 week
- If the king is dethroned, privileges change to the new king, until dethroned

The Judges
- There will be a panel of 3 judges
- Judges will be randomly chosen by submitting a post via forums
- In order to judge, you need to have "green" rep at the time of submission

The Battle
- Battles will consist of 2 rounds
- Each emcee gets 1 minute per round
- If at the end of 2 rounds, the score is tied, there will be an additional 1 minute round
- Winners of the battle move on to battle the winner of a different bracket until there are only 2 emcees left
- The winner of the final battle is crowned king

Emcees
- Emcees can be any poster, regardless of reputation

Venue
- The venue can be Ustream or similar chat room
- Chat room admins will give the mic to each emcee when it's their turn

Conclusion
I think this would be a great interactive enhancement to this site, as well as a potential to gain additional traffic by those individuals that do not normally frequent message boards. As technology grows, so do people's appetite for cutting edge content. This would sync the older model of text based communication with Social Media/VOIP. It would also bolster the content on the message board of the coli. Posters would discuss their own opinions of the battles in threads, call people out, etc. This is just an overview of what I have envisioned in my head. I don't see it requiring more resources other than time to set up and organize, which I would be more than willing to help out with. Constructive critique welcomed.

Who's down to battle?
