...was cool to say when we were kids. but do you think it's been worth the productivity? do the means justify the end?
I'm not from New York so I don't know if what I've read really captures how it is to be black out there or how the city has changed because of (or in spite of) the stop and frisk policy.
But I can say if 80% of the people stopped were white Republicans, this shyt would stop immediately. For some reason I can watch hours of those open carry dudes getting stopped, not frisked, and then having the 10 min conversation about how their rights are violated because they were asked for ID.
I know NY conservatives are a little different but if we go by the same logic, we should outlaw firearms. The ends (lives saved) will outweigh the means (confiscation of weapons).
It's good that crime has been reduced but I've read differing stats on if stop and frisk can really be credited for that.
