Somewhere in a dark room, the silence is ripped in half by the piercing sound of velcro, as Anthony Khan rips away his neck brace. The tears had soaked through the cotton and it was irritating his thin skin.
Sunken in to their sockets, his eyes searched, pleading with the words on the screen to change.
But as with the last thousand times he had read those letters, they remained the same.
Finally he ripped free of the screen and his gaze met hers. Aglow in blue light, her chiseled face on the poster he'd paid so handsomely for from his ebay account run through four shell companies. He hadn't used it since he'd bought all those VHS tapes.
But this was different. This was special.
Price was no object. It had come from Japan. That doubled its star value.
Guilia stared down at him as he wept.
Regal. Stoic. Two-dimensional.
Her eyes silently laughing at the pitiful size of his crowds.
Tony's sob cut through his mansion. Echoed off the empty walls. And then, as though chasing it, the sound of a snort of such great gravitational force it warped local spacetime.

But still. Her eyes judged.
And Tony knew... as long as the hardcam section remained bare, Guilia would remain over there.
