Gilbert is right about LeBron being the best Old Man Basketball player in history. He is right that LeBron is held to a different standard than any other player. No one holds it against MJ for being 40 and leading the Wizards to no playoffs or Kobe shooting 30 times a game at 35 FG% in his final year on a 15 win team. Shaq doesn't get criticized for being a shell of himself in his last year in a Celtics Uniform.

It's funny because his haters claimed he'd be washed 8 years ago because he was reliant on athleticism and had zero skill.

But because he's normalized playing at an All-NBA level in his late thirties, they're acting like he's washed despite posting better numbers than the likes Haliburton, Lamelo and Ja who are the "future of the League" at age 40.

What he's doing is some uncharted territory shyt. Even MJ was beyond washed at the same age with way less mileage.

The fact that MJ was playing at 40 on the Wizards should tell you that his mindset was not on proving anything. LeBron is out there actively trying to win another chip and trying to desperately hold on to his past glory. MJ wasn’t chasing anything just scratching an itch.

lebron is the drake of the NBA

polarizing....people either love him or hate him...theres not much middle ground

long...successful...unprecedented career....

breeds hate...and people love to see these types fall....

You're right LeBron is treated differently, held to a different standard. Nobody was calling Kobe, Jordan, Shaq etc, top 5-10 players in the end. I believe Kobe was outside of the top 30 in rankings.

The problem with you LeBron dikksuccks is yall claim he's top 5, but then when we point out his flaws it's well he's 40, what do you expect? the same thing I expect from every top 5 player. He's top 5 when it's convenient, he's old when it's convenient. Yall need to pick a position and stay there. Yall also like to petend like Mailman wasn't playing at a high level at 39/40. LeBron and Mailman were blessed with health unlike the others. Truth be told LeBron is not top 5 or 10 in the league, he's barely top 10 of nikkas 35 or older.
