:mjcry: don't blame him though, shooting sounded like a bytch :manny:

Australian director of the snubbed “Mad Max: Fury Road” George Miller: “I won’t make more ‘Mad Max’ movies. ‘Fury Road’ with Charlize Theron, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough was forever getting completed. If you finish one in a year, it’s considered a leap of faith. Start, stop, start again.

“I’ve shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever. We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those ‘Mad Maxes’ take forever. I won’t do those anymore.”

He backed off that statement a little bit in a new interview. He said he would be down to make one more. But wants to make a smaller movie in between. I think he'll do one more and then pass the franchise off to a younger director.

Eh, I see this as one of those statements he'll come back from. Kinda like Daniel Craig always bytching about how much he hates doing those Bond movies after every single one of them because production is such a hell.

:francis: I agree. Not my kinda movie, reminded me of Drive (don't really hear much about that movie these days). I need words to keep me interested...

Yeah, it's not as if it lit a gigantic bonfire of 80s revival throughout every form of media. Except it did of course, and is one of the quintessential movies of this decade.
