I lived for a few months in Mississippi, I loved it. Had the best sushi I ever tasted down there(some place called Samurais). But then again, I was down in Gulfport (gulf coast) and not in the interior. The casino scene is popping and some Asian mafia run things down there(almost got into altercation with a group of them). People advised me not to venture into the interior and I did not. I spent a night at a strip club in Alabama though - worst strip club you could imagine, girls with bullet wounds and what not. All in all not that bad.
