Trailer didn't give much away in terms of plot, but seems like it will have the same tone as The Boys. The showrunners behind this are

According to Deadline, Eric Kripke mentioned that the first season of Gen V is set during and after the events of The Boys season 3. So, we’re basically going to be following this world chronologically because the release of Gen V is confirmed to be before the release of The Boys season 4.
