What’s the best brand and what do you look for for the best experience? I bought one for my son for Black Friday last year, randomly, and after Seeing it it’s nice.
Thinking about getting one for my Myself and he ask wants another because the one I got him was only 24 inch.

When I talk to ppl in person about it they shrug it off as an unnecessary purchase because they have 52 inch full hd tv. I don’t need to hear that in here: good for you.

The H
I’d look into the LG ultra gear and the Samsung odyssey. Both will have what you need for a decent price.

If u game in 2k(which everyone should be especially for FPS games),then look for an IPS monitor with 165hz+ refresh and gsync and/or free sync compatiable.

The top dog at the moment are the 240hz 1440p monitors. But they run for $700+.

Got an ultrawide, 21:9 I think it is, 144hz, 1ms response

Im new to pc gaming and I don't know a lot, the amount of info was overwhelming so I just went for it and bought a pre built and that monitor

But shyt is really beautiful brehs I don't think I'll ever want to game on anything smaller. Getting high and playing Elite Dangerous is fukkin wild, wanted to play it when I was younger but we couldn't afford anything like that

The sweet spot for me has always been 27' inch sized monitors. For gaming, high refresh rate is imperative. Nowadays you can get similar feature sets such from different brands. Dell, Benq and Asus has always impressed me with their build quality and functionality. I am not a fan of acer products and will never buy a monitor from them again.

What annoys me is the whole gamer aesthetic these brands are doing with those shytty two prong monitor stands :hhh:

This is what I’ve been rocking and Iove it:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-24-...with-freesync-premium/6451069.p?skuId=6451069

24”
1080p (clean as hell. At 24” you’d have to be digital foundry to tell me the difference between that and 4k on a 65”. Maybe a bit exaggeration but I’m telling you, the image is CLEAN as hell.)
1ms response time
144hz
Freesync
$250 got it on sale for $150 a little while back.
