Tales Of Arise has to be the worst case of this in recent memory. it's the "Return of the King" of videogames in that it had a logical end point after a certain boss but then unnecessarily dragged on for 10 more hours and the game is worse off for it. One of the most egregiously padded out games I've ever completed

The Trails games do this a lot and yes Tales of Arise does do this too.

Last few God of War games trap you in slow ass conversations and animations with no skip button :hhh: the irritation creeps up on you slowly but a little over halfway in the game you just get tired of hearing these nikkas talk and walk in slow motion
