How come Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (2018) is $60 when Modern warfare (2019) is $60. Aren't older games supposed to come down in price?

Forgive me if the question is dumb. I'm getting back into gaming.

FYI, those prices are for the PC version from the blizzard page.

And while ya here, whats the best Call of Duty for a person who has never played before. I love old games too so I dont mind going back. I'm playing on PC by the way.

Since you can only get it from blizzard, I don't see why they lower the price you don't have any other option. I don't play a lot of fps, but modern warfare 2 was best fps I ever played. I would go with modern warfare.

I think its less it being a digital game and more that it's a Call of Duty title. I remember Call of Duty 4 still costing $50 when Modern Warfare 3 was out. Activision thinks COD is like Mario and those games hold their value.

Thats just the msrp for the digital copy. You can easily find a physical copy of bo4 for like 20$. Or if u want a cd key u go here.

It's both. Digital games retain their price more but call of duty barely goes on sale as well

I literally havent touched the franchise for 10 years almost since the MW3 copy n paste debacle released.

They've made zero improvements to gameplay since MW2 and that jetpack bullshyt was a step backwards.
