Who said they were? Either answer the question or be goneClassic & game changing not same thing
As much as I love Illmatic I cant really agree that it changed the game. It might be the best album ever but it didn't really change anythingStraight Outta Compton

Oh yea no doubt. Illmatic was hip hop perfection but I don't think it was really innovativeYou're right, can be argued that Nas changed in its wake more than the rest of the game
Imo 808's was more of a game changer than GraduationGotta throw Graduation in there if not only for the fact that it ushered in the tide of soft tight jean rap and signaled the end of gangsta/hard rap in the mainstream when it outsold 50 cent's album
I cant really agree with Doggystyle. While its definitely a classic that album isn't possible without the Chronic. I feel like Cuban Linx was a much bigger game changer than 36 but I see why you put itDoggystyle

Country Grammar (yup)
I agree with both of those. After AEOM it almost became mandatory for the top rappers to release a double albumAfter this album, double albums became more of a thing in Hip Hop and the collaborative effort to work w/ a range of different rappers and producers became more of a thing. Fresh Prince had a double album in the 80's but Pac made the collaborative effort to work w/ different producers and rappers in the 90's and beyond.popular.
Everybody followed his lead and ran w/ the whole autotune thing after this album. T-Pain did it before him, but Kanye helped popularize and influenced the shyt way more than T-Pain ever did. Kind of like Dre did w/ The Chronic. Above The Law came w/ G Funk but Dre made it popular, same w/ Kanye and autotune.
