How does that make Gable a grifter? Who exactly is he deceiving & stealing from?
Gable got signed based upon his "real" wrestling accomplishments, and now he's learning an entirely new sport. Gable Steveson is an investment & his employers are treating him as such. Gable's bosses are putting time into training that brother &crafting his presentation. It would be extremely foolish to teach that breh just to do a few flips and then put him on tv before he's ready, we see enough of that on Wednesday nights (Hi, Nick Wayne, que pasa Komander).
Gable is learning pro wrestling, staying competitive in amateur wrestling, while still being a college student. On top of all of that, he has to retrain his body's muscle memory and learn the timing for a completely different sport. Nah, there's no grift. That's a hard working young man, and what he's doing requires Herculean effort & dedication.
And then there's the issue of Gable's employers. Vince McMahon has been in the wrestling business for almost 50 years. Nick Khan is known as a shrewd negotiator & businessman. When have you ever seen, heard, or read about either of them getting grifted by an employee? Gable Steveson hasn't been in the pro wrestling business long enough to learn how to grift anybody as slippery as his bosses.
Rereading what you wrote, it doesn't sound like you actually think that Gable is a grifter. You sound like a closeted admirer who's only talking bad because you can't regularly see the guy that you want to watch. You don't hate Gable, you're just mad that you can't have him yet. Unfortunately, that's not fan energy, that's bitter ex-girlfriend energy. Fix that.
