This would all happen if the upcoming Trump administration cuts federal funding for EVs.

i think if were gonna insist that super duper rich people run for office, i think the rich people shouldnt have access to their own money while in office

they should live in subsidized government housing. something comfortable, but not extravagant. they have their own homes they can go home to after they've reached their term limits. projects for senators. it should be a thing.
