Seriously all I see is remastered verisons for these new gen consoles I didn't spend my hard earned money to play shyt from last gen with shinnier graphics. I'd rather them spend the time in making a new multiplat game then a fukkin remastered version. If nikkaz wanna play old shyt buy old consoles. Companies are robbing the consumer with this bullshyt making gamers pay 60 dollars or more for the same damn game no wonder they got rid of backwards compatibility. I'm starting to think pc and wii u is where it's at. Cuz a nikka right now is seriously considering selling my ps4 and getting a new rig in the meantime cuz as of right now next gen consoles is home of the Remasters :dry:and bullshyt indie's

What remasters do you see outside of Halo, TR and TLOU

GTA 5
Final Fantasy Type 0
Beyond 2 Souls(Rumor)
Resident Evil
Mass effect trilogy
I heard Shuei talking about remastering the whole uncharted serious.
I'm hearing more remastered games. Then new ip titles

Somtimes I think people are just ignorant as to the whole point of what a remaster's purpose is for. Lemme ask you something, did the remasters coming out cancel games like:

Batman Arkham Knight
The Order 1886
Uncharted 4:A thief's End
Halo 5
Sunset Overdrive
Driveclub
Forza Horizon 2
Call of Duty:Advanced Warfare
The Witcher 3
Dragon Age:inquisition
Destiny
Watchdogs
Evolve
Bloodborne
Middle Earth:Shadow of Mordor
Assassin's Creed:Unity
Far Cry 4
LBP 3
Tekken 7
Dying Light
Kingdom Hearts 3
FF XV
The Division ??

Are these games NOT coming out?? Y'all complain about remasters being a waste of money or being overpriced or whatnot but fail to realize that they aren't preventing other games from being made. They're solely for people who missed out on them, or for people who like me want to see them in all their visual splendor. Also a remaster helps out companies because the money made from these remasters can fund newer games, you know the very shyt y'all want. Games cost money.

Also don't assume that a remaster hogs up time from developers. There's devs that are specialized in porting games over to new consoles like Bluepoint Studios and some companies have teams that can knock this out quickly. It took ND a few months to get TLOU on PS4 running and it helped them because that was their first time porting that TLOU engine over to PS4 which will help them with UC4.

The point being, a remaster coming out doesn't suddenly cancel out games that could've been done. Y'all assume that because X dev is making Y remaster than that means "Oh no they can't make Z game anymore!". It don't work like that breh. What's worse is y'all complaining about remasters coming out now vs later when they will lose it's luster to current games since it'll pale in comparison by then. Why release a remaster or HD remake of a fairly recent game late in the gen when it will be among the likes of newer iterations of itself that will make it look bad?? An Uncharted trilogy remaster coming out a few months before UC4 would be excellent and help curb the time between launch. Simple, if you don't like remasters, don't buy them they're not for you.

Hell
Naughty Dog said earlier this year it has at least two "brand-new experiences" in development, one of which is likely Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The studio's lead programmer, Jason Gregory, shared a similar sentiment with GameSpot recently, telling us developing Remastered was "like taking a crash course in PS4."
They're working on two other games while TLOU:R was being made. That pretty much throws out this "Remasters are a waste of time!!" argument out the window.

As for indies... so what?? So you're telling me that more games that are actually good from independent developers are somehow bad because they're releasing on consoles?? It's a choice. The indie games coming out or not wouldn't have made a difference to when big titles come out.

Your cool with spending full price on a game that was released 2-3 years ago? fukk all that if you goin to remaster I don't believe in payin the 60 - 70 bucks for a game you've already played and completed fukk a new graphics engine.

There hasn't been a remaster this gen that's over a year old though. Tomb Raider was less than a year old, TLOU just hit a year when it came out and GTA V will most likely be a year old when it drops this fall. Stop exaggerating, the games don't cost no damn 70 bucks. TLOU:R dropped for $50 and it included all the DLC from the games season pass, upgraded gfx and performance as well as dev commentary all in one disc.

What else would did you expect?? A giftcard to Wal-mart?
The only remaster that was wack imo was Tomb Raider and that was because at the time it was coming out, a version of the game arguably superior to it was already out and selling for $10-$20 at the time. The MP was worthless in Tomb Raider so it having "map dlc" was not even worth it for me.

Besides that though, GTA V is well worth a remaster too as it struggled to perform on PS3/360 and it could use some sprucing up. The price argument is null to me as it's determined by the quality, competition, cost and the market place. Other older games are still selling for damn near full price. Plus you're ignoring the fact that there's people who jumped on newer consoles that didn't play last gen classics. Sony said that damn near half of the people who got PS4 didn't have PS3's so they missed out on The Last of Us. Remastering it was a no brainer. The gaming world doesn't revolve around you. Just because YOU may feel like something is stupid or a waste doesn't mean everyone else does. I think COD games are wack and needs revamping but that shyt is making Activision a boatload of money. You think they really care about the people who not feeling them??

:ld: It does seem like it's the first generation switch up where so many of the games coming out now are available on both the new and old hardware, whereas in the last switch up I can only remember the odd title like one of the older Hitman games, Call of Duty 3 and Tomb Raider Underworld having Xbox and Xbox 360 versions. Now most of the multi-platforms all have last gen releases

I'm not mad tho because I haven't upgraded from Team :flabbynsick: yet.

Yall act like their was this ton of great games less than a year into the 360 and PS3's life. :rudy:

We not even 9 months old yet on these joints :what:
the thing is, things were more 'staggered' back then, and that made it seem like there was more of a variety of options. now it's just these two consoles, that launched at more or less the same time, and that just draws this clear line between the 'current' and 'last' gens

I don't even think they were more staggered, we just have a clear problem with instant gratification now. You know what you got into buying a console at launch, stop acting fukkin brand new.

Halo 3 dropped 2 years after the 360 came.

MGS4 2 years later.

Uncharted and Gears were a year into the life cycle.

nikkaz need to stop this shyt. :rudy:

I'm saying they were more "staggered" because the 360 came out a year before the ps3. before that the ps2 came out like a year before the first xbox. that year gap created a rather blurry line between those console 'generations'

You don't pay full price. It is usually about $10 less. Big deal right? If you happen to have the previous gen version some retailers are willing to sell the remastered version for 50% off. Most importantly, the PS4 hasn't even been out one year yet. You can't seriously expect to have a wide variety of games. If we're being honest, at least this time we have a few selections to play immediately after release. When last gen consoles dropped, there were very few titles.
