Just got done watching Train to Busan, I saw the Devil and Handmaiden. Koreans definitely been putting out some heat for awhile now. There's been so many and duds and reboots this year coming from hollywood, it's like they can't do a good motion picture, all the talent went to tv or something. I'm not saying they don't have their fair share of wack movies, but koreans filmmakers seem to make their plots more relatable than just go for the formulas(oscar bait, box office bait). A big problem with american films is that a lot of the characters just aren't all that relatable. It's too corporate or something. That and the gimmicks are getting stale.
