We got our asses handed to us and maybe this is a bit of a reality check too. A lot of people assumed because Luka dominated the T-Wolves last postseason that Minnesota was going to be a cakewalk, considering he's now playing with Bron and arguably a better team in general than last season's Mavs.
Sure, Minnesota may not be better than us, but at the same, they're very good when they want to be and last night was an example of that, and it's the same thing that sorta caught the Nuggets off guard last postseason.
Obviously, they hit a franchise playoff record 21 3s, but still, we had chances to win the game before it got out of hand; hopefully, for game 2, we tightened up on the perimeter and came out more focused; we seemed a bit sloppy, maybe from having that long week off.
Also, Vincent, DFS, Goodwin, Dalton, and Hayes, have gotta play better and attempt more shots. Gabe played 25 minutes and only took 3 shots, Finley-Smith played 33 mins and shot 1-5, Hayes playing 8 mins is too little.
I understand that come playoff time, the rotation changes a bit, but JJ gotta figure out a better way to utilize the team the same way he did during the regular season, too many guys were on the court playing big minutes but barely amounted to more than 15 shot attempts. It's hard to win when your supporting cast either isn't getting enough playing time or shooting the ball too little.
