Final 13 episodes kicks off tonight on FOX, show picks up from the Letters in Transit episode where the Fringe team is in the future fighting the Observers.

Really glad the writers got a chance to know this would be the final season and to prepare for it, with the season being shorter they should craft a tighter story with no filler episodes they sometimes have. I will miss the show, has been the best sci-fi show on TV for a minute and John Noble and Anna Torv have both been underrated as actors, a shame neither of them got any Emmy love. Look at what they both did in crafting two different characters with their Alt version and working with two timelines.

I've been following this show since season 2 (I just didn't know when it came on during S1), and whether you like the show or not, Fox did right by Sci-fi fans by letting Fringe get this far and even properly wrap up. It's a shame that it didn't become the next X-Files or Lost like the show and Fox kind of wanted it to - the writers actually had a plan for 8 seasons - but it does its job in terms of being a cult favorite.

That Captain Windmark looks insane...

I'm still mad as hell as for them unnecessarily completely rebooting the show last season. So I'm not excited as other people are.

i like fringe but it's always been a little disappointing to me.

too many monster of the week episodes. i never enjoyed the peter/olivia meant to be together stuff. i thought the reboot was stupid.

but when the show got good, it was :mindblown:

looking forward to see how it ends.

Love this show, watching it now. I'm going to miss the red verse but I like where it went. Powerful opening moment. Walter getting his mind descrambled was disturbing.

I wish that it would have got picked up by another network or something. One of my favorite shows on television; sucks that this is the end.

Nah, I think people are referring to the timeline reboot. After Peter entered the machine and disappeared, season 4 took place in the same universe, but one in which Peter did not grow up with Walter. Much of the season was Olivia remembering Peter and reconnecting with him. In a sense it wasn't the same version of the characters we were watching the first 3 seasons, hence the sorta reboot.

I thought they did a good job with jumping right into the action and getting the gang back together, Walter finally had his mind right and now it is frazzled again. I want to see more of the flashbacks from when the Observers invaded and hopefully more of Olivia's cortexiphan powers.
