I came across this vst, it's been out for a while but it's been updated since it's initial release. It's Called Ample Bass Precision Lite II. Now it's one thing if you already have it. You may say it's an ok plugin it's really authentic the problem with the free version is that you are missing the lower octaves. Only containing D1-F4.
The problem with that is who wants a bass that doesn't play bass notes I mean that defeats the purpose a lot of it's tone.
So if and when you get and use this vst, you should use a pitch shifter I recommend "Pitch Proof" Set the pitch value to -12 and the detune to .200 and you will have the lower octaves. I have provided links to both the Ample base Vst as well as the pitch shifter.
Here is a demo:
Here is the official site to download the bass vst
amplesound.net (select ABP Lite II(Free) v2.31
For the Pitch proof Pitch Shifter effect
Audio Effects: Free Downloads - Aegean Music (Scroll Down to PitchProof Harmonizer/pitch shifter and Select your download preference. 32/64 bit.
Lets keep up the work Coli.
Best regards
