Ok so I downloaded a piano app for my nephew (he's 4) the one I downloaded called perfect piano. It seemed cool for a little kid, had the keyboard and you can slide it to the octaves you want to play, but then it has different modes like chords mode, single row and dual row mode..I was like when I put it into chords mode and was putting together some melodies. It tells you what chords you're using so you can take it to a real keyboard or even do midi from the tablet, via cord or midi file.
There is free sharing so I was listening to music people put on and it shows you how to play their stuff. Oh there are different pianos like a rhodes, organ, a synth, acoustic and a bright piano. There is a section for more and there are other instruments that are free too.
What is cool is when I hit record, it asked to do it via midi, mic or multitrack feature tool- which then downloads Walk Band.
Walk band has the piano/keyboard, guitar, a drum kit, a drum machine, bass, and you can multi-track and of course share and listen to others peoples music. i havent heard anything dope, however there is a lot of potential. Just using the chords programmer I was able to find some decent melodies in my lap. Lil dude was heated that I took the tablet away from him and plugged in the beats studios.
Def worth a shot if you are on the go or want something different to spark creativity.
