What was the Wu issue w/ King Jus?
Im not sure but i do remember both rza and ghost saying that most of the cats that came to record were from all types of different hoods and a lot had issues but when they went to rza house or the studio after the flood he always made ppl swuash whatever issues WHILE THEY WERE THERE. When they left who knows what happens. Look at a guy like Y Kim who was around in the super early days but couldnt wait his turn and got jealous. Look at King Just who really dropped a fire album out of Shaolin not under the wu banner and imagine him watching ODB come out from brooklyn with a similar aggresive style but now he wit da best group out of shaolin. Its a million isssues they coulda had on the low who knows. But all these inner group politics are why its so hard to get Wu generals on the same page. The group main members have these same issues with each other from the beginning.

Just from Stapleton, right? IIRC it was Stapleton that started the whole Shaolin thing, and Shaolin used to refer to specifically Stapleton before it became the wider SI, but maybe I'm misremembering

Not sure but i know he from Staten and he used ALOT of wu/shaolin slang on his album. Also dirty album came out after Just (maybe a year). Billy or love would be the ones to ask specifics about this type of stuff...

I'm trying to remember but I thought Just started the beef bc he felt RZA/Wu/non Stapleton cats were misappropriating their slang w/ the Shaolin thing.

Mystics of the Gods had several bangers

ODB had a lot of unnecessary beefs. He had a beef with them Brooklyn Zoo nikkas (they had the song Masters of the Zooniverse) and got himself shot over it, he thought them nikkas was just rappers. They was really gangsters. They got caught in a Rico some years later.
