Fred was telling the truth when he said private schools were overrated, and that it's up to the child to succeed. Ryan and Channing are acting like every public school is like Lean on Me or Dangerous Minds. There are plenty of straight A black students in public schools.

Agreed but where I agree with Ryan (or it could’ve been Chad), private schools develop one hell of a base that you’re not going to get at a public school. Not true for every area and I can only speak from my experience but shyt I learned in private school in 6th grade, the public school kids were just getting to in 8th grade. Hopefully things have changed.i was lucky to have a guardian who was big on education and had me doing extra than what was required

I'm not against private schools, I just hate how some of us in the black community think it's automatically better than public schools.

Yeah, I'll prolly never watch another episode of IAA..

the Pivot tho :whoo: They definitely got some heat with this one.

It didn't seem like money was the root of the split to me, but the wife thinks that money along with diverging from the original structure of the podcast ultimately fueled the split.

Personally, I can certainly deal with much less of B. Marshall trying to make every single mental health/epiphany moment about himself though.

"You know... :sas1: when I was receiving treatment at the McClean mental health facility it really taught me that..."

Like bruh we get it, let the guest talk without you being insecure and making their moment about you.

I hope he keeps getting the support he needs though. I certainly won't miss him as the moderator. That and him not being able to hang with some of their deeper/complex conversations.
Yeah he definitely overdid it as the moderator. Someone said it said it earlier he's basically ernie off inside the NBA. You just have to sit back and let them cook and throw in a comment every now and then. But he wanted to be seen and heard and would over talk people when they were telling a good story or getting to a good point which I didn't like. Plus all the branching off with different areas and wives and nascar was completely unnecessary.

private school isnt overrated

all things being equal, a child will usually be better off in life going to private school than public

Solid first two episodes. Never was bought into Ryan Clark as a personality during his time at ESPN but he’s beginning to shine.

could you imagine if Jared Odrick was host/moderator? :banderas:

Most times it depends on where you live. If you live in a black city like Baltimore or Philly or Chicago. Most times you want to go to private schools. Most times you're in a no win situation. You wanna go to a good public school? Then you have to move to the wealthy suburbs and most likely there's very few blacks. If you live in the inner city, then usually you end up paying for private schools. Now you might have some middle class areas but you really gotta do your research
