Having Beas on this was important because it goes beyond sports. There are so many people like Beas that have grown up rough, have their identity attached to something they can no longer have and pretty much turn into full-blown recluses that don’t trust people because of their emotional scars.

Channing telling Beas “fukk basketball, come to my house with your kids and we can drink beers whilst our kids have a play date” is something a lot people need to hear because too many people think they’re alone and worthless outside of what they’re good at.

I"m gonna say it....smart dumb juelzin.

I'll wait to watch the Beas episode, I gotta be in ready for that. :to:
He made more sense than not but even if what he did makes sense it showed that he lacks self-control and maturity. Like yeah - logically you could react this way - but a wise person wouldn’t.

To me there were a lot of parallels between the AB and Beas epsiode. Beas was just more coherent

One thing you dont hear a lot from Beas in that interview is accountability. No doubt he was dealt some bad cards but his career wasn't just a series of bad things happening with him having no control over the circumstances. David Fizdale told the story once they basically had to drag him out of bed to get him to come to a pre-draft workout, by the time he got there Westbrook had already been there for 2 hours in a full sweat and went hard for another hour after.

Damn this Beasley episode was heavy.
This is one episode where Brandon Marshall's input was really needed. I hope he reaches out, in private if nothing else
