The X-Files: Albuquerque "will center an office full of misfit agents who investigate X-Files cases too wacky, ridiculous or downright dopey for Mulder and Scully to bother with. They’re essentially the X-Files’ B-team." The project received a script and presentation commitment from Fox and will be executive produced by series creator Chris Carter, along with Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko, who'll also pen the pilot with Gabe Rotter.
Debuting in 1993,
The X-Files centered on FBI special agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, who investigated unsolved paranormal cases. The show ran for nine seasons, ending in 2002 after 202 episodes before being revived for a six-episode 1oth season in 2016 and then a 10-episode 11th season in 2018. Additionally, the show spawned two films,
