No, it's a natural and more palatable companion piece or alternative for shows like Succession, which is harder to understand without an in in depth knowledge of things like NY media, CEO culture, Justice Department, that show traffics heavily in signaling the kind of viewer with a blue chip portfolio, and a WSJ subscription

it's on Netflix the most used streaming service

for a USA show, it had high glossy production values, very sharp writing, and Megan Markle, as well as A1 quality actors if not A list doing their best work.

also, it's higher production value than a LOT Netflix/streaming stuff, just looks better, cleaner, more authentic, though they shot in Canada or something. It is dramatic without being hard to follow or very deep.

it was always a great show, though became tiresome in later seasons. Also, speaks to a lot of values that people tend to see in their entertainment, meritocracy, rags to riches, "masters of the universe" investment bankers, good looking people doing millennial things lol

As Mike gets closer to Megan, in a seductive moment, that I have probably channeled, he explains how well he knows her, and how much he values her, including the then chic description of her being a "foodie"

Not surprising at all like @re'up said. Suits was an evolution of USA's 'sunny skies' shows. It had good writing but still had the easily digestible network TV qualities.

Suits is actually a perfect example of what a Netflix algorithm based series should be. Hits all the necessary tv show tropes but in a fairly smart and entertaining way while presenting it in high quality production, with quality actors.

Netflix on the other hand has all the metrics of what people prefer to see but they package it in low budget terrible productions, with even worse writing and lean heavily in on a single genre.

I know that Netflix is doing it on purpose. A new, cheap, throwaway show will get more eyes on it for a premier season than a fourth season of a good show with a high budget. Rinse and repeat :hhh:

t-dot till they bury me
I was hooked the first few seasons
Easy to follow show, that had a slight element of suspense, and some :ehh: looking women
Acting was above decent as well
Louis had me :mjlol:
Think I stopped watching when Mike got found out and/or left the firm
Right around the time he became an investment banker I think
I remember Katrina, not sure what season she started

They filmed in the heart of the Toronto financial district. Used to see them outside my office

I think the additions Katrina as a main character, alex williams, samantha wheeler and zane kinda made it still watchable in later seasons. And Louis Litt stayed louis litt for the most part.

Not surprised at all. Despite what internet nikkas try to tell anyone that will listen, the Netflix effect is real. It's resurrected shows, taken established shows to new heights, and made shows that are already done more relevant than they were during their original run.

I been binging it. I'm on season 7 and it's almost over :sadcam:

They need to do a sequel with new characters.

I gave up on it. Like many USA shows it ran too long and suffered because if it (burn notice)

Maybe I'll watch and see how they closed it out
