I never played Forza. How does it compare to the Crew Motorfest or Need for Speed?

It doesn't. Those are straight up big thumbed arcade racers. Forza Horizon has no comparison on console. The only comparison would be the open world cruise lobbies that people have made as mods in games like AMS etc

FH is what would happen if Sony gave another studio Grab Turismo assets and told them to make an open world racer.

It took sony completely botching that generation for microsofts best console generation to still end up in last place. Think about that. Sony was also selling the PSP and PS2 right along side the PS3 (the PS2 sold 50 million consoles after ps3 launched, and the PSP sold 80 million)

and a lot of microsofts console sales were because they had a historic technological failure because they rushed their console out a year early. I liked the 360 more than the ps3 but a lot of people have rose tinted glasses on about the 7th generation because of the first 3 years or so.

360 fell off a cliff when it became Kinect focused during the 2nd half of gen 7 but those first 3 to 4 years where special.

PS5 it would run better and play better. Meanwhile you cant run PS5 games on the Switch at 60fps

Games is what entice people to buy a console, not 'features.' Sony is ONLY dominating because of the games. Dual haptics, 3d audio, and PSVR2 is great, but you need games to go with it.

When I was saying that hardware wouldn't be the main focus years ago and how it was all about IP's and owning what you create, y'all was on the "Xbox is gonna buy and lock down everything and make it exclusive" meanwhile I was like they'll just buy and try to publish to any and everything they can.


Sony cares because that's how they sell software millions of consoles more sold yet they have to release all their 1st party content on PC for it to be sustainable.
