Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum are pretty much the same game

So how come the former attracted so much backflash and negativity for months on end and the latter hasnt?

• Both game are developed by new studios from big publishers, Luminous Productions by SE and Ascendent Studios by EA
• Both games star c-list actors as the main characters

• Both games are about a fantasy world, where the gameplay and combat revolves around wielding magic
• Both have equally cheesy hollywood-style quips and dialogue

And both games are critically panned as of now, sitting in the 60’s on metacritic. Yet Aveum seemed to have come and gone without much discussion and I’ve even seen people that were shytting on forspoken say they will eventually get around to playing Immortals in the thread for it.

Why do I feel like Forspoken got a lot more shyt for essentially being just another panned new AAA IP?

The reality is most new IPs dont get the same funding and resources that sequels and established franchises get, and thats likely why both of these games dropped undercooked and unpolished.

Being one of the first UE5 games was their only selling point, so they said fukk it and just went all in even though it didn't make sense to based on the hardware they were targeting. So instead of selling off being a graphical showcase, the resolution and image quality is so bad they negated all the benefits of being a Ue5 game.

They mismanaged this shyt completely.
