Though the alleged gunman at the theater shooting last Friday was armed to the teeth, able to fire off 60 rounds in a minute, and dressed fully in bulletproof gear, former Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce thinks one of the people in the theater should have been able to take him down.
In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, Pearce criticized the people in the theater for a lack of courage and for not being armed, saying that if they had been, they could have saved lives. “All that was needed is one Courages/Brave [sic] man prepared mentally or otherwise to stop this it could have been done,” he posted:

While Cinemark does have a no firearms policy, it is highly unlikely that someone would have been able to take down the alleged gunman. He was heavily armed, in full protective gear, thew tear gas before he opened fire, and was in a dark, crowded theater. Armed law enforcement officers responded within 90 seconds, and in that time he injured or killed 70 people.

He later posted:

Conceal permits would've helped people after they've been tear gassed and the attacker has full body armor and is weaponed up?

I'm sure a shootout in a darkened theater with even more bullets flying around would've led to a better outcome.

What a scumbag.

a lot of people actually believe that shyt though.

just imagine how much safer the crowd would've been if they scattered say, a dozen armed citizens with had little to no training and suffered from the same initial confusion as everyone else across the darkened, tear-gas filled theater.

nothing bad could come out of that. :comeon:

Apparently, the average human being doesn't respond well when tear gassed.

Expecting the average person, after being tear gassed in a darkened theater with a 100 other people stampeding to the exits, to analyze everything that's going on, pull out their weapon and successfully take down someone in full body armor that's spraying at anything that moves is crazy.

13 people shooting in a dark theater doesn't really seem preferable.

Also, smh @ this Mark Wahlberg-esque nonsense.

plus throw in the fact that there was a late reaction to all of this because the gunman supposedly waited til there was a shootout on screen/in the movie before he finally started up his shooting spree up. people in the theater thought the gunshots were coming from the movie and not someone in the theater with them

-another white man from Arizona talking shyt.. why does this not surprise me :ld:

the only thing that would've saved lives is IF everyone could walk around with bullet proof vests, neck, leg clovers, and an army helmet, oh and a gas mask for good measure.
