For those that do not know how the Former CIA dude is
He's Michael Scheurer, a former CIA intelligence officer, historian, and political analyst. He is currently an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's Center for Peace and Security Studies and an Expert at Wikistrat.

In his 22-year career, he served as the Chief of the Bin Laden Issue Station (aka "Alec Station"), from 1996 to 1999, the Osama bin Laden tracking unit at the Counterterrorist Center. He then worked again as Special Advisor to the Chief of the bin Laden unit from September 2001 to November 2004.

that's all very sophomoric for me at this point. I don't take people seriously that still think they 'hate us' because we have blue jeans and rock-n-roll music

I felt like him saying 'we' thought these people were poor and uneducated was also a strawman

basically he says a couple of things that should be blatantly obvious to anyone that's taken time to think about all this. and with that he plants this seed that there is a threat from educated american Muslims. and surprise surprise, the Fox news guest took the opportunity to throw some shots at John Kerry...

This logic isnt perfect. I thought they're attacking us because our nation is in their nations, causing trouble in a variety of demonic ways. In war honesty takes some decades to catch up to reality.
