I started rapping at 8 (I say 8 but it might have been 9) cause of 30 Days (Run DMC). I call myself B Boy, Real MC, and Hip Hop Head but for some reason I have never seen this movie.

I feel disgusted with myself. I will probably cry when dope shyt happens.. excuse me "fresh stuff"(?).

In the information age it takes me hours and hours to watch movies. I pause it to look up stuff. I get distracted by notifications. I have an idea that I want to brainstorm so I pause it. Anywayz I am about 40% through and the plot is super thin. I love the old school shenanigans tho.

I grew up on Beat Street and Krush Groove.. as well as Breakin, Rappin and the other more bubblegum shyt.

I made it through about 75% yesterday. Gotta finish up.

Something crazy happened: my GF came over - prolly why I didn't finish yet - and I was telling her who Fab 5 Freddy was. I paused the movie to play her Rapture. As soonnas we went back to Wild Style, the song Rapture came on the movie. She was like "listen" I was like "crazy".

Beat Street is dope too. Love that sh*t but I give the edge to Wild Style. Half of the movie is real footage. It really captured that time and era to the fullest.
