I was only a 3 year old in 2000 so it was a few years before I started watching but what was y'all thoughts on Taker being "humanized" for a lack of a better term?

His look as ministry taker was goat level but he’d done all he could at that point with that character.
He needed some kind of a shake up
The pop he got at Judgement day 2000 along with Jim Ross’s call showed he made the right call for that time and era.

Biker Taker was a much needed change but it still wasn’t all put together. When he became big evil though 
Not gonna lie, I was salty as I was a 10 year old Taker mark and like

The heel turn in December 2001 made it worth it. Dude gave us dope segments (beating up David Flair, the whole Taker vs Flair WM X8 story, dragging Hoegan on the motorcycle, First dude to beat the “What?” chants, etc)

He absolutely needed a change at the time, that's how I looked at it. He looked right at home in that character and that alone probably got him feeling rejuvenated.

I liked it.
The supernatural part was getting stale.
I was confused as fukk but eventually got used to it.
Hated it. Hated it even more as it dragged on over the years too

It worked but only because of the times they were in. The place was unglued when he came back during the Rock/HHH Iron Man Match so I'll give him credit for that
Had he come back as Big Evil Taker and just been fukking people up left and right, doing shyt like the David Flair beatdowns/Tossing Jeff & Lita off the stage/Dragging Hoegan’s bum ass around the arena on a chain to the likes of DX, E & C, etc... he probably would’ve been MUCH better received.

He started dressing like that before 2000 minus the trench coat so for a short while he was still the same Taker to me. He even rolled his eyes in the back of his head at Judgement Day like old times. Him changing his attire later on is what soured me. shyt was over when he wore that Survivor Series 2000 outfit.
