How do you keep up or catch up with all the new music?

I have a full time job and a full time chick and I feel like I've missed a lot lately. I just don't have time to be checking for it every day.

This past December was the first time I ever listened to Drake, This past April I finally listened to a J.Cole mixtape. I'm just now discovering "Watch the Throne"...

I'm in college so I get to listen to a lot of music while I'm studying and now during the summer and shyt. Also on my way to and home from campus.
I just check word on the skreets (my mans words, the coli, rapradar) a few times a week. You miss a lot of shyt, but during the summer I'm back updated as ever.

And I don't know why having a girlfriend would stop anyone from keeping up with their interests that you engage in at the crib. For me it just means more "dead time" at home. While being single you're always up to shyt.

Going to HotNewHipHop there is still a lot of stuff to go through that may disappear sooner or later.

If you really want to keep up with the stuff that matters...simply go to Datpiff.com & look at the "Top of the Month" section. Thats a pretty good reflection of the new mixtapes thats currently getting buzz.

Then go to HipHopDX.com has a singles section that shows whats hot at the moment based off of the users.

Worldstarhiphop.com does a good job of putting up buzzin artists videos.

Then u can come home to TheColi and check out the threads to see whats on the horizon/sales/release dates/gossip....etc

That should take about 5-10 mins to skim through all that. After that you will be pretty much fully up to date as to whats going on in hiphop all around.

I visit The-Coli and a few other blogs on my iPhone during the day to find out what's dropped. I've got a girl, full time job for the summer and 16-credit semester upcoming...not a problem though. Takes like 15 minutes to find music and download it lol.

It's easy. When you're off work, you got ya "favorite" sites that you will know keep you up to date.

When you're not with ya girl, the same.

Unless y'all living together (and even then i know she ain't buggin' u 24/7), or you out here building landmarks & shyt, you are always gonna have some downtime (aka "me" time).
