This man never had defenders amongst black men, but now that everyone is coming forward, but NOW you got clowns wanting brehs to "Stay on code". It was cool when Gene Deal and everyone on their momma had suspect Puff stories, but why is it now a problem that others are coming out with their own stories? Puff has been seen as a weirdo for a very long time on the coli and other hip-hop spaces. Really since the late 90s. From how bad he's done his artists in terms of shoddy record deals, to conspiracies about how he did Biggie, to stories about his sexual deviancy. <----These things have been canon, in Black male spaces regarding the Puff Daddy character arc. Why are some of you brothers NOW coming out in defense of him like he's Malcolm X? :jbhmm:

I get it's because we know there are shadier crackers out there(His daddy Clive Davis). But, instead of defending Puff, why not just hope more ppl come out against the Clives of this industry? :jbhmm:

:yeshrug: I’m not mad at any of this shyt. I’m just annoyed with the inconsistency of it all. The same people shytting on Puff are quiet when others do the same shyt. Look at 50. Both of his mans are known wifebeatears, with one being a professional at it, yet he’s quiet about that tho. Not to mention, he’s ONLY like this with people from the culture, because the last time he tried to get uppity with people outside of that, let’s say a Jimmy Iovine, he ends up with Curtis, and resorted to being an Internet personality that he still is to this day.

Then you got Cam’ron. People are mad that Cam did what he did, but aren’t as NEARLY as upset as to why not only did CNN (which is basically a just diet Fox News atp ever since John Malone became the owner) book him solely because they knew he’d be ignorant and thought he would go all out on Diddy (remember, Anderson Cooper is a part of CNN), they got one of their tokens to do it for them, making them both look like incompetent fools.

Also, not to mention, this is Diddy’s typical MO. nikka is literally known to be an habitual line stepper with anger issues, so much so that they’ve made parodies about it on other shows like Chappelle Show. And who could forget this Academy Award Winner?

Also, this is the same nikka that went upside Steve Stoute’s head with a bottle and was one of the main reasons Shyne got locked up. Now all of a sudden because it’s Cassie, I should be shocked and upset? I’m not. He’s been assaulting black people unhinged for decades, and nobody cares. But know because it’s this non black female, we should take it more seriously? Comical. He’s a closeted homosexual with anger issues, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t beating up on his beards. Hell, let me take it a step further, even regarding Dre (another abuser people gave a pass), I’d be shocked if him putting hands on his wife wasn’t a reason as to why they got a divorce.

At the end, you can’t charge him for the video cause of statue of limitations, they knew that, and put it out just to ruin his reputation even further, which is fine by me, honestly, but I’m not gonna get fake mad at some shyt cause the media told me to all of a sudden for no apparent reason when they had this tape for damn near a decade. My only takeaway from this is if he committed a crime, just charge him for it, let him have his day in court, and return with a verdict. Because if he’s a proven sexual predator frfr, and not just on some gossiping Chatty Patty bullshyt, he should fry for that. All this other shyt tho is just extra, and most importantly, BE CONSISTENT ALL AROUND THE BOARD. If it’s selective outrage, then it’s fake outrage, don’t care who or what the context is. End rant.

I agree, the man put out a statement that said all the stuff Cassie was saying was a complete lie and now we got of video of him punting her in the face. So if he lying about that he definitely lying about all that other stuff which means yes he was stealing money from his primarily black male artists, and his actions likely led to the death of one of his biggest artists also a black male. On top of that all the money he made wasn't going to help the community at large it went in his pockets. I see no reason to rush to his aid even if white supremacists have a hand in it because no one told him he had to be an awful person to other black people.

this thread was made without the application of critical thought. a brief examination of how his white counterparts are treated should be reason enough to answer your question.

when you grasp that puff - like cosby, rkelly, michael jackson before him - is being used as a proxy for attacking the black community, you will understand why some black people are taking exception to how he is being treated.
