For Drake's Longevity, should he leave YMCMB?

I mean he had 8 Executive Producers on his debut album. Everyone is in his pockets to the point he's had to do tours and hop on tons of features to keep that cream coming. Baby obviously didn't give him a great deal. I honestly don't think Drake should of ever signed with them. He had made a nice little buzz on his own. But for the future and longevity of his career. Should Drake consider leaving YM? He now is a Brand. He has his producer, he is starting up his little OVO label. He is talented and I think YM is going to fall off very soon and take Drake with them. I think his contract is almost up too. So what do ya'll think?

He should continue to ride their wave as long as they're relevant and continue to keep his deals structured to where he's only in partnership and not signed.

He'll make the most money that way.

What difference will it make? It's not as if people lump in Drake with the Lil Twists and Gudda Guddas of the crew. He's at a point where YMCMB is just a formality. It's like asking should Kanye have left Roc-A-Fella because he got G.O.O.D. Music.

Drake reps YMCMB to the fullest yet somehow manages to distance himself from the slight gimmicky side to their whole crew. I don't think he NEEDS to do anything right now except killing features and coming with that heat.

There have already been a lot of rumors that he was ready to leave the Label but then Baby gave him a CM Chain and a little more money. It does seem like Drake is slightly distancing himself and trying really have to jump start his OVO Label. It kinda hit a bump in the road with the Aaliyah project which was going to be the 1st major release on the label but with the backlash the project in on hold.

So your saying Drake is a "Ja Rule, 50, Nelly". Hot for about 3 years, sales decline and that's it? Well if that's the case he should be looking to get into acting cause that's how he got his start. He did the voice thing on "Ice Age 4" but I think he should start getting into movies. But Drake's Sales did increase on "Take Care" though:

So his fanbase is with him. If he did leave they would follow him so I think he can squeeze out maybe 1 more Plat album but I don't see the 3rd album getting up to 1.8.
