I told y'all this a coupl weeks ago in another thread, but damn you cant even hit a receiver anymore to separate him from the ball.

And I'm referring to that Bengals player that hit Dez Bryant about as clean as you could, but b/c he hit him "too hard", it's a personal foul on a defenseless receiver. But if Dez had held on to the ball, I bett there's no flag.:smh:

Sorry breh, football can't exist as it used to. :yeshrug: At first, I used to be mad, but with all the brain damage evidence coming up (and they've likely been sitting on it for a while too), NFL is going to continue to do things in the name of player safety, even if it is way overboard (like this).

A certain physicality should be maintained and I agree that they go too far at times, but it is what it is, isn't it? I would not be surprised if, in like 30 or 40 years, someone leaks out internal NFL documents outlining rule changes that favored the passing game game, since the running game features far too many of the types of collisions that they'd want to cut down on, without actually cutting down on it.

My motto is that the players have to know what they're getting involved in and that's their choice. I know brain damage is very serious but gooooootdamn some of the clean ass hits I've seen defensive players get flagged for :wtf:

The NFL wants to have it all, but you can't.

You want the ooo's and ohhhh's of the crowd after a big collision, or a QB sack, but you dont want the effects that come with it. That's just the way it is.

Just make it two-below if you want to really make it "safe"

yeah, but how many missed tackles do we see now from DB's trying to hit guys low, and the player just jukes around them. And you can shoot for the waist, but if the offensive player gets low ur probably gonna hit him to high, which will be a penalty.
