I think him getting buried by undertaker and a few mid carders like Finn kinda killed it. Taker should've put him over at a Summerslam ppv. Maybe Edge or that Priest, Finn can put him over this time around.

Fiend was great till Goldberg steamrolled him and Alexa pretty much took over at WM. I’m all for that gimmick to be brought back, too much money on the table.

Regardless of how y’all feel about Bray. His ability to cause buzz within the wrestling community is top notch.


Doing this during commercial breaks for the live crowd and during house shows is genius.

Personally I loved all of the incarnations of the Bray Wyatt gimmick. The “Eater Of Worlds” carnation of him was SOO perfect. But Vince’s creative direction literally KILLED that character.

Let’s not forget they were dead ass going to book this match. Which I felt it would have been something he would have NEVER recovered from..

The fact he had to rebrand himself into “The Fiend” was a damn shame. Don’t get me wrong i LOVED that character too, especially with the whole “Firefly Funhouse” aspect of it. And the “Firefly Funhouse” match was by far one of the most unique and creative moments in that companies history.

But Bray shouldn’t have had to do that. Vinny Mac was too old, out of touch, and too damn stubborn to GTFO the way and let Bray cook with his character.

He PURPOSELY sabotaged Bray’s gimmick because Bray talked back to him and told him his ideas were shyt. Vinny Mac literally gave his gimmick to Alexa Bliss and told Bray to stay home on some “We can give this gimmick to anybody else and still make the same amount of money.”

Sorry for going on this long rant, but it literally that they fumbled that.

Now that Hunter is charge maybe NOW we can see how this character could work properly.
