Don't use the internet unless you need it for what you're working on.

Put the cell phone away.

Turn the tv off.

Drink while you're working.

If all else fails I'm sure your doctor can write you a script.


Drinking water, orange juice, and eating three squares helps as well. Especially breakfast.

Strong cup of black coffee. If you get jittery, take 100-200mg of L-Theanine along with it. Laser focus.

Be warned though, L-Theanine by itself can get you over-relaxed to the point where you may fall asleep, so you need the caffeine to keep you going.

The two combined neutralize general unwanted side effects. But don't overdo the combo (take too much at one time or use everyday).

But also you can study before you go to sleep.. dont use alarm clocks and wake up naturally... then eat breakfast. Avoid electronics... then study before sleep. repeat

Try binaural beats. I usually play them just low enough to be heard under some music. (House, triphop, instrumentals, anything without lyrics)

Create an work routine or zone. Eat and set the mood for long hours.

Smoke some weed. A small amount. Not to get high, just a buzz.

don't mess with pharma's just yet breh, that would be counterproductive to your cause in the long run.

a good meditation and breathing regiment will help you immensely. practice a meditation of calming the mind, stilling the mind, and/or having a single-point focus on a person/place/object/event/idea.

dont get frustrated if your thoughts are all over the place at first. remember mental exercises are just like physical exercises, the more you practice the better you get at it.

be sure to incorporate the breathing exercises into your meditations.

all of these things are good practices to strengthen the mind, however, you should understand all of this will begin and end with your personal willpower. it'll ultimately come down to whether or not you have the mental stamina to consistently make yourself focus at will, and whether you can sustain the practice.

just keep at it and you'll eventually get there. you only lose if you quit.
