Eclectic producer and sometimes-rapper Flying Lotus is currently at Sundance Music Festival for the premiere of his first full-length film Kuso. In typical FlyLo style, it’s extremely trippy and not-completely coherent. Also, it’s apparently really gross. Early reports from the festival say that some people could not stomach the entire film and left partway through.

What exactly could get people to leave a theater in the middle of a movie? How about when “an alien creature force-yanked a fetus from another woman’s womb (accompanied by a Mortal Kombat sound clip: ‘Get over here!’), and then smoked the tiny corpse.” If that doesn’t do it for you, there’s also a man that has sex with a talking boil on a woman’s neck.

Perhaps people thought they were seeing, Kubo and The Two Strings instead? For what it’s worth, Flying Lotus took to Twitter to mitigate these reports, claiming only “20 people out of like 400” walked out of the theater. Check out the trailer below. For what it’s worth, horror film blog Bloody Disgusting called it a “quintessential gross-out midnight movie.” Would you see the film?
