Fighting Floyd again does Canelo no justice, because Canelo loses again while Floyd just piggybacks a large payday


The money Canelo is getting right now is , especially when you consider the fact that Canelo gets an 80/20 split on all profits from his fights


Why lose to Floyd again, and always be considered #2 at very best, when you can just continue on in your career, always hold on to the excuse that you were drained down to 152, and be hands down the #1 draw in the sport easily since Floyd & Manny are gone....and no one even brings up the 1st Floyd vs Canelo fight to use against him in the media

This is a different Canelo. More experienced. The first time around I think we were going on the premise that he was young and talented but we found out that it wasn't enough. He got took straight to school.

I feel you. But, almost every aspect that Canelo improved at, was one Floyd exposed. It'd be another UD fight IMO. Not worth the run back.

I'll tell you why, because I guarantee you Canelo does not seem it from the angle you and I and others see it from. Canelo's not saying to himself, "Why fight Floyd? I can't possibly beat him, and nobody is really going to bring up our first fight again so I can just avoid it..." If Canelo is the competitor I'm sure he is, that Floyd loss is probably eating at him and he wants a chance to avenge it, plus get paid more money than he'd get paid for any other fight as well.

Canelo never mentions Floyd's name...I don't believe he's worried about avenging that loss UNLESS it's under his terms.
