In terms of original concepts or unique flows - who ranks high on your list?

This thread is inspired by the Nas "Who Killed It" thread.

Nas has experimented with the following:

* A whisper flow building to a yelling flow...and then yelling to whispering*

* An old detective voice solving the mystery of who killed hip hop*

* Rapping from the perspective of being a gun*

* Rhyming a story backwards

Provide more examples, other skilled MC's works, or state why you are or not impressed with the above.

Nas is not on my list for flow, probably not even top 10-15 but he's top 3 overall. He can't even keep up with his own beats when he's performing live.
Early 94 nas had amongst the illest flows ever displayed but after that it's been quite tired. I don't know how studio enhanced his flow was in 94, 96 times but everytime i've seen him it sounds like he's got an average flow. On his albums it sound like he has an above average flow but not legendary.

Isn't this basically a GOAT thread

And "who killed it" is terrible. And I'm a huuuuge Nas fan, he might even be my GOAT certain days, but there's no excuse or "you don't see what he was trying to do" on that one...just a bad idea.

U forgot about Nas rapping as Scarlett....

Rapping as a.project roach

I agree he ain't gonna win for flows but concepts and creativity he got on lock.

Ghostface is def up there too, one of the most entertaining rappers ever. His creativity is always up there in his story raps.

Edit

Rapping from a belly button perspective :wow:

Lol @ this Mathew cac... thread is still wide open fukk outta here with that garbage.

It's not intended to be a GOAT thread. Cases could be built around Jay-Z and Tupac and several others. Nas just happens to be the most visible at the moment, given his recent release date.

You're right...I did not even try to find every concept song.

I concede the point on Nas' flow also.

As far as Ghostface, I respect IB4CL most heavily...he is definitely creative. Even if I don't know exactly what he is talking about, I still respect him. Maybe there is a hidden meaning in his raps. I never tried to figure him out. His lingo is crazy...even if it has no double meaning.
