Florida woman shoots pregnant friend in stomach, kills unborn baby: report
Virginia Wyche is accused of shooting Markeisha Brooks in Jacksonville on Wednesday after they got into a heated argument on Facebook the night before. Wyche was arrested and her bail was set at $1 million.
WTEVVideo captured the moment after a pregnant Florida woman was shot in the stomach by another woman following a fight on Facebook. The alleged victim later lost the baby.
A neighborhood in Florida is stunned that anyone would shoot a 6-months-pregnant woman in the stomach and kill the unborn baby — let alone the victim's close friend.
Virginia Wyche, 35, also known as "Tweety Bird" around town, is accused of turning the gun on her pal Markeisha Brooks, 23, in the streets of Jacksonville on Wednesday.
"They were arguing out front, something about Facebook. I walked out and just heard a pop," local man Christopher Cash told station WAWS.
Cash shot footage of Brooks slouched in a chair, clutching her stomach, just moments after the shot rang out.

People in the neighborhood spoke to the local Fox affiliate about how stunned everyone was that Wyche, someone they considered kind and considerate, is facing an attempted murder charge.

"I didn't know anything bad about her. And they were friends. It really shocked me," said Mary, who did not want her last revealed. "You don't hear fighting and arguing and that type of stuff up in here."
Lawrence Jackson agreed.
"Because [Wyche] was a good kind-hearted person," he said. "She loved everybody and helped everybody out that she could. She didn't bother nobody, she stayed to herself."
JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENTVirginia Wyche is being held on a $1 million bond.
The suspect's mother, Lillian Jordan, said the news is difficult to bear especially because she was “not raised like this.”
"Somebody had to provoke my child ... to do what she [did],” Jordan told WJXT Jacksonville.
The suspect and victim had been arguing on Facebook the night before the shooting. Jordan said if you share too much of your personal life on the social media site it can only lead to problems.
