A Florida man is facing a manslaughter charge after police say he beat his roommate to death following an argument about a stolen chicken foot, the Tampa Bay Times is reporting.

52-year-old James Jugo of Tampa told authorities on Saturday that fight began when his roommate Benjamin Calderon, 56, took the chicken leg Jugo was cooking out of the skillet.

Calderon suffered internal bleeding following hits to the face and neck, the newspaper reports.

His family is devestated over the loss.

"No one deserves to die over a chicken foot," Calderon's brother told the Times.
