The good thing for the principal and teacher is that this story is now several days old, thus it can be considered part of "Black history" and thus illegal to bring up in any Florida school. Especially because bringing it up again might make that principal/teacher feel bad, and that's wrong.

You failed to mention that this taught the students resilience and how to receive feedback, so in the end, this event can arguably be considered a net positive.
