Yeah. I love short projects. But I’d love if every joint was a good 30-60 seconds longer.hella 90 second "songs"
how is a 10 track album less than 20 minutes runtime?
sh-t looks like a snippet promo
Mephux is definitely a monster.I hate this era of less than 2 minute songs
What happened to three verses on a 4/5 min track? How did that die out.
Pete Laced Flee with the beats & Flee floated but I think he wasted these beats on such short verses, he could of gave em to someone else to spit over
Flee better not do the same to Havoc when that drops
Not Hating on Flee at all, He’s super consistent, I loved that Buckwild Project but ain’t short beats...
Pray for the evil with Mephux is the best Flee project to me this year so far.
That Mephux dude is a monster on the beats
Mephux is definitely a monster.
I’m not exactly sure when the three16 bar verse format died out. But I miss it.
I used to work in the studio with the Justus League, and I do remember a lot of days where 9th Wonder and Khrysis were big on two 16s instead of three. Phonte would say that a lot, and it reflects in his solo work. He’d say “if you can’t say it in two 16s it’s either not worth saying, or you can be more concise.”
At the time I still preferred three 16 formats, but I grew to appreciate two 16s also.
Either way I prefer it over songs that are like 90 seconds or 2 minutes with one extended verse.
The only project that has basically a 2 minute/1 long verse format that I love is Covert Coup by Currensy.
There’s a couple others but I’d almost always rather hear a real song format
This project sounds like a blueprint for ideas that never got finished.
