Things ive noticied just observing random tutorials on Youtube...

1. Whats the internal webcam thing people use to show their FL Studio beats on Youtube and how can i get that? Think its called 'Camvision''

2. How come people show tutorials but use expensive (or illegal) VSTs but they never explain how to find them?

3. Is it possible to make some above average tracks with just free kits you find on the net? Or do all the beats that sound really good come from an expensive VST like Nexus?

4. How come sfter watchiing 20 min tutorials on say ''here how to make trap beat'' the guy pretty much makes an incomplete 1 min portion of the beat. How do you make a complete track and how long should it take on average?

5. Whats the most important music thing someone should know before making beats? Music theory? Piano skills? Etc

1. look for a screen capture program

2. google VST's and you'll see many of them populate in the search results.

3. yes it is possible to make some amazing stuff using free kits you find around the net, there are actually a lot of free VST's floating around online as well. Of course the higher end VST's that usually cost money have a better selection of sounds to choose from.

4. broaden your search, don't just look up how to make "trap beats", instead, search "how to make a beat in fruity loops", once you have the basics down, you'll be able to use other tutorials more effectively without needing to have your hand held the entire way through.

5. you don't necessarily need piano skills, music theory helps, but the best thing to do in my opinion, is to make music that sounds good to you.

2. Because the expensive ones are really good, and sharing VST's is a big no no

3. Yeah I guess, it takes a lot of know how but definitely can be done, pirating is cool too though

4. Look at more tutorials breh, the patterns are arranged in the playlist though if you just wanted a straight answer

5. Piano is a must if you plan on not sampling honestly, just a little bit of knowledge though, you dont have to know how to play Mozart or nothing, just watch a couple youtube tutorials on chords and what not

Piracy breh.. its illegal, the video wouldnt be up more than a couple of hours..

All my drum kits are free that I´v found online and most of my pianos and such are SF2´s google "SF2" and FL studio you should find a bunch..

Hip hop beats are repetetive breh.. it might switch up on the chorus but thats it..

5. Whats the most important music thing someone should know before making beats? Music theory? Piano skills? Etc

Me personally know just a couple of chords and thats it.. the important thing is to train your ears so you know when you play right and if you play in the same key as the sample or lead instrument

if yall got any miscellaneous tips you can throw at me on what helped you guys in the beginning, im all ears, im finally starting to understand how 70% of all the knobs on FL Studios work and in the process of possibly getting my old keyboard as midi controller



also, i get that crackling sound quite a bit now, i need help on how to download ASIO



im still very rusty on....

1. making a complete song
2. verse to hook transition sounds
3. automations and envelopes
4. anything Mixer related
5. Sampling
6. Melodies

All that is stuff that comes with experience honestly, the best tip I can give you is make time for beats every day, you can't be good if you dont practice, also, never get in the habits of starting beats and not finishing them, even if they suck finish what you started, they may start out as one thing and end as something completely different, and even if they end up sucking take it as a learning experience of what to do and what not to do

Also, google is your best friend, if you cant do something google it
