All Star
I won't stunt and say I didn't enjoy the first one, cuz I did...
It was mindless slaughter, Dynasty Warriors Style!!!
I guess I wasn't the only cat that thought so....
Tecmo Koei released a batch of new screenshots and a release window for their recently announced, bloody beat e'm up title, Fist of the North Star 2. The game is the sequel to the sleeper hit from 2010, Fist of the North Star. The game was highly under-promoted but it was a great departure from the typical third-person action games released this gen.
Stick Twiddlers managed to spot the new date and screens on the game's official Japanese website, which indicate that the game is scheduled to launch in Japan this upcoming December for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The game follows a chap named Ken who's out for revenge and then after getting said revenge he becomes an aimless wanderer of fist-focused destruction in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It's basically a Japanese martial arts version of George Miller's famed Mad Max series. Quite naturally, gamers will venture throughout said wastelands beating the crap out of any and every gang member that crosses your path, using forbidden martial arts techniques to literally blow your opponents to pieces.
Some of the new additions to the game includes the ability to play as multiple characters in the story mode, including Shu and Juza. Additional fatalities have been tossed in as well as new special moves, brand new locations and ramped up boss fights.
There's no word on a North America release for now, but assuming it moves good numbers in Japan we can expect to see a localized port to follow thereafter.
Because posing with this hairdo was hardwork...
