"And it just barely hints at how messed up things will get.

No matter how hard it tries, AMC cannot air new episodes of The Walking Dead year-round, and as a result, the cable network occasionally has to debut new series. One of said new series, scheduled to debut in mid-2016, is Preacher.

You might remember Preacher from when we last talked about it—it's Seth Rogen's adaptation of a cult-classic comic book series from the '90s. The trailer itself looks like pretty cool stuff. But the best thing about it?

It barely hints at just how messed up stuff is going to get. But there are hints, if you look."

My thoughts? (POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD)

Jesse Custer doesnt look white trash enough

And it doesnt look like its directly adapting the comics. No hints at the supernatural aspects of the comic (which I know cant be the case as you remove a lot of the story/characters).

Show also seems to be hyping up Jesse as some badass preacher who rights the wrongs of his town...Which is kinda missing the point of a character and is seemingly ignoring the pivotal moment in the comics that sets Jesse on his way across america. his entire congregation is burned in front of him when he get possessed by the being Genesis, thats how he gets his powers

But its only a trailer and frankly there's no way they'd be able to adapt all of the comic given how far the comic pushes the envelope
