The drug candidate, called CF33-hNIS (aka Vaxinia), is what's called an oncolytic virus, a genetically modified virus designed to selectively infect and kill cancer cells while sparing healthy ones.

In the case of CF33-hNIS, the modified pox virus works by entering cells and duplicating itself. Eventually, the infected cell bursts, releasing thousands of new virus particles that act as antigens, stimulating the immune system to attack nearby cancer cells.

This is definitely how the zombie apocalypse starts. Cancer cells are human cells, so you attack them....

Bout to have a real life Deadpool on deck, or a Zombie apocalypse.

Joking aside, it be great news in the field of medicine if we can curb Cancer, because not enough attention is on neurological.

I am Legend was a good movie breh

I refuse to watch it cause I heard they completely changed the ending from the book which was one of the GOAT sci fi endings.

The entire point of the book was to get to the ending. If you change the ending then the story no longer has any reason to exist.
